Shameless (Him)Self Promotion

As you know, part of my duties as the Lovely Assistant for Peter Cox Photography is to let everyone know when pretty new pictures are available for browsing, buying, viewing, and generally admiring.

The photographs from the Iceland trip are now online and they're making me pretty jealous that I was at home. My favourites are Evening Walkers, Rainbow, South Coast, and Late Evening.

So, check them out. Just don't ask me how to pronounce any of the names!

Cliffs and Clouds, South Coast, Icelandis my favorite. Just beautiful. Oh and Svartifoss, Skaftafell National Park, Iceland is amazing. Iceland certainly has some interesting geology.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned before, but I'm seeing Peter really grow as an artist. He has a good strong, unique style. I feel like I could pick out one of his photos from a line up. It diffcult to achieve a unique quality to your work when doing natural landscapes, however I think Peter is getting to that point.

Thanks for that, Shane - means a lot coming from someone as accomplished as yourself!

Makes it easier not to strangle people who come up to me at art shows and say things like 'We came here for the art, but these photographs are great!' (real quote - you should have seen the look on the chick's boyfriend's face when she said that).

GOOD LORD. Some social errors should be punished with open hand face slaps. However, if punishing stupid browsers was part of your business model you might not make too many inroads. Lil' tip for ya.

Thanks for your kind compliments. :)

Shane - You're right, although it would be so satisfying.

The word "cinematic" comes to mind. A lot of the photos suggest motion, almost like you're swooping into the scene. Very cool. Such talent, I never knew the man had. I need stuff for the walls of my new house. One of these days I'll become a customer!
